Dr Rueben Tzeng grew up in Auckland, New Zealand where he received his formal education which led to his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Otago University in 2006.

After obtaining his dental degree, he moved to sunny Queensland where he worked in a busy private practice providing general dentistry whilst gaining valuable experience in oral surgery and endodontics.

Following this, Rueben moved to Sydney in 2010 for post graduate studies, there he obtained his MRACDS (PDS) with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons whilst also completing advanced endodontic training in Santa Barbara, USA with Dr. Cliff Ruddle in endodontics.

Since 2012, Rueben has lived in South Australia, where he joined one of Adelaide city’s largest private clinic as an associate dentist before ascending to partner and co-principal dentist for his last 4 years there.  In the last decade of practice he has advanced himself in the field of orthodontics at teaching institutions such as the Australian Dental Association, the Clinical Foundation of Orthopaedics and Orthodontics and the Beethoven Orthodontic Centre to name a few.  With the aim of keeping abreast in all aspects of dentistry, Rueben has also completed hands on Implant surgical training with Osstem Implants in Melbourne and Biohorizons Implants with the Institute of Digital Dentistry.  He has also had years of experience utilising CEREC/CAD CAM Dentistry to complete the skillsets required to provide full oral rehabilitation and cosmetic dental smile makeovers with a digital workflow.  In addition to his parenting and practice owner roles, Dr Tzeng has also held roles  as dental consultant for MLCOA (Medical Legal Consultants of Australia) and clinical tutor at the Adelaide Dental School.

At the beginning of 2022, Rueben made the decision to scale back and achieve a better work life balance for his health and family which led to him to the role of principal dentist of Tooth32.

In Adelaide, Dr. Tzeng has cemented his reputation as a passionate and forward thinking dentist with an attention to detail and artistic flair in the results that he proudly delivers.  With Tooth32 his vision aligned cohesively with the former principal, Dr. O’Leary which has allowed Tooth32 to strengthen as an experienced dental team that can deliver the large majority of dental and specialty care to the people of Southern Adelaide.

Outside of dentistry, Rueben spends his time mostly with his family and his pug, Bumbles.  He enjoys a healthy lifestyle consisting of diet and exercise, gardening, cooking and coffee appreciation.
